Tuition fees
Exemption from differential fees
The following individuals are exempt from
raised tuition fees for foreign students and pay the same tuition
as students from Québec (approximately $1,800 per session):
- accredited diplomats to Canada as well as certain members of their
family and personnel;
- refugees whose status has been recognized by Canada and who have
obtained their Certificat de sélection from the Québec
government;
- spouses and unmarried children of temporary non-student workers
in Canada;
- all French citizens (automatic exemption);
- students enrolled in the following courses categories: FRA, FRS, FLS, RED under the condition that these courses are part of a bachelor, master or doctoral program;
- citizens from countries which signed an agreement with the Québec government, and who receive a scholarship
awarded by the Québec government exempting them from paying
the raised tuition. The list of countries is updated by
the ministère de l'Éducation et l'Enseignement supérieur. To obtain a scholarship
exempting you from tuition, contact the competent authorities in your
country (generally, the national minister of education, foreign affairs
or international cooperation for the countries concerned). All recipients
of this scholarship must pay the tuition and related fees charged
to Québec students.
